She is a graduate of Georgetown University, where she completed her undergraduate work as well as medical school. Dr. Tyler completed her residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. She attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and McGill University in Quebec, Canada for fellowship programs, and was on the staff at the McGill University Hospitals.

Dr. Tyler came to Metabolic Medical Center for the opportunity to practice preventative medicine. Three years of working with Dr. Jones at the Medical University of South Carolina showed her what these weight loss programs could do in changing patients’ lives. Accepting the position at Metabolic Medical Center allowed Dr. Tyler the unique chance to reunite with Dr. Jones and continue the effective weight loss methods which she has seen to be so successful.

Born in Maryland and raised in Connecticut, she has made her home in Charleston for thirty-five years, with her husband and four children. She enjoys a wide variety of activities including; swimming, paddling and hiking, movies and reading!
